It’s been a while since I’ve posted here but it has been a hectic few months. There is a lot to update you all on. Interesting story, about 3 months ago I put together a package and sent it to Conor McGregor. No letter, no introduction, no note, just some of our products. Thankfully Conor has been pictured wearing some of those gym items(or the reps & sets range as we like to call it) over the past number of weeks and it has been an extremely exciting time. I have always said that our quality is number one when comparing it to any other brand in the world. Everything we do is with quality in mind. When we began making crew socks at the beginning the number one aim was for them to be top of the pile. 40,000 pairs of socks later and that is still true. That message has carried through to all of our other products and it is very heartening to see one of the world’s most recognised sportspeople training in our venom tees (Head to the shirts section).
We are also working on a couple more projects. Our first ladies range will be out at the end of November this year. It is an extremely exciting time. Already the interest has been huge. The designs are being finalized at the moment and we are working through fit and sizing to make sure everything is perfect from day one. I’m a perfectionist when it comes to the finest details and am no different on this project. I believe there should be complete consistency with sizes and fit. If you are a medium from day one, well that medium will never change. So if you are ordering in store or online, you will know that our sizes wont change. This is the way it should be for every clothing brand but unfortunately that doesn’t always happen. Keep an eye out on our social media channels to keep up to date with the launch date and new designs. Here’s a very small taste..
Since February this year we have dipped our toe into making some team wear items. This is an area very close to my heart. I was happy for it to grow organically and can I just say, we do this better than anyone. I realise the importance of team and what it does for individuals within a playing group. I also and more importantly, have seen first hand the influence that team can have on the community that it represents. This side of Twelves has gathered a lot of momentum over the past few months and will shortly lead to us assigning sales agents across Ireland and into Europe and America to deal specifically with teams in all sporting codes. We recognize the importance of each team crest and design a package that best illustrates that clubs origin and tradition. We will pay particular attention to the community and the positive impact a strong community can have on the people that live there. We will be launching our team wear section on the site very soon so stay tuned. In the meantime you can contact us directly through our social media channels.
Finally, there have been some ongoing talks to try and grow our retail presence. Up until now I was happy to grow the brand digitally and it has proved successful but the infrastructure is now there to start getting more and more of our products into retailers. A conversation is starting with JD sports and the hope is to be stocked in the new year when we launch our new lifestyle (Street & Lounge) range. About a month ago I got a call from the manager of the Obama Plaza in Moneygall wondering if I would put a display unit in the shop. I’ll be honest, I was a bit sceptical but the tourism market are absolutely loving our Hats and Snapbacks. It has turned out to be a really big win for us and I cant wait to grow the relationship.
There is a lot happening. This is the fun stuff, growing and expanding but a lot of graft has got us to this stage. Thank you all for your support. I hope to do a weekly post from now on to keep everyone up to speed.
